Mcusta Tsuchi Large

My first MCUSTA but definitely not my last. Im very impressed.quality throughout.This is a beautiful knife.a great gentlemen's or dress folder.smaller than expected.very slim.about 7/16" thick.fairly heavy due to solid steel construction but not too weighty.feels solid,well made,comfortable.although fairly slick it offers decent grip as long as its not wet.this isnt the knife to take camping anyway.The blade is 3.250" long ,13/16" wide and 1/8" thick made from beautuful damascus VG-10. It is exceptionally sharp and perfectly centered. The pivot has phosphor bronze washers and is quite smooth. Deployment is lightning quick and the stainless steel framelock locks securely with zero play.it engages to about 35% depth and unlocks smoothly with moderate tension. The blade detent is rather light but lockbar tension helps keep the blade closed. The pocket clip is effective but is right hand ,tip down only.it carries with about 5/8" exposed.Both sides of the handle and top 1/4 of blade are covered by a gorgeous hammered texture.it makes for a very unique and striking presentation.really beautiful.Overall a really unique and beautiful,well crafted knife.and a good value IMO for what your getting. An excellent knife and highly recommended.Update:I spoke too soon about pocket clip. While it seemed to work well with the thick seamed work pants i was wearing when i received the knife,as it turns out it has extremely poor retention. The clip has fairly weak tension and the overall design is quite slippery without any bends or shoulders to ensure retention. I almost lost it twice the first day i carried it. I may modify it or just remove it and carry loose in pocket. Be very careful if you carry with the clip.All other aspects of the knife are solid.i stand by my original assessment.And blade centering is perfect now that its broken in.lock bar tension is pretty high but pivot is smooth ,there is no play and opening is fast and positive. A little Tetra gun grease between lockbar and blade tang helps smooth it out even more and speeds deployment. Its a beautiful and extremely well made knife. I love it.just DONT trust the pocket clip!

This is, no doubt, a good looking knife but it's "clunky". No way should you expect to flick it open with your thumb, they shouldn't have even put thumb studs on the blade it's just not smooth enough to open in that manner. I've oiled the knife and tried to work out any friction points by repeatedly opening & closing the blade to no avail. I wouldn't be so critical if it weren't for the price of this knife. In my opinion, based on the stiff operation & also based on the seemingly "afterthought" cheap quality of the pocket clip (see photo): I would place the value of this knife near $60 or just avoid altogether.

Manche 11cm.lame 8.3 cm. corresponds à mes attentes, arrivé très rapidement,semble de bonne qualité.la description matière et conception décrites sur Amazon sont exactes, couteau relativement fin (Manche de 7/8 mm d'epaisseur) et relativement lourd.on sens le poids de l'acier inox de qualité.tranchant parfait d'origine, à voir si changements si un passionné entreprends de l'aiguiser à la main.lame coeur acier inox Vg10 comme décris réel enrobage de Damas sur la lame, pas d'impression laser ou autre comme certains le sous entendent mit à part pour la marque du couteau qui elle est imprimée au laser.
