Kitchen Gizmo TPU Cutting Board - Medium, Flexible, Chopping Mats - Double Sided, Green

I found this cutting board as a Lightning Deal on Cyber Monday, so thought I'd try it as a replacement for my worn-out Pampered Chef cutting mats. I'm so glad I gave this a try, because it functions so much better than those cutting mats ever did, even when they were brand new! It is substantial and does not scoot around on the counter, but it's still flexible enough to bend it to transfer whatever you're chopping into a container. Admittedly, the chopped food does not slide off as readily as it does from a chopping mat due to this item's grippy-ness, but I'm fine with that trade-off since the mat stays put. I love the juice groove, which effectively prevents the mess I'd always end up with when cutting up things like pineapples, tomatoes, and watermelon.After my initial experience with this cutting mat, I immediately ordered another one so that I always have one at the ready when the other is in the dishwasher. It goes thru the dishwasher fine for me. I place it on its long edge in the lower rack, outside edge, propped against posts of the rack; it comes out flat, not misshapen nor discolored.After several weeks of use, there are no scratches from knife use, even including an electric knife.I’m so happy with this cutting board that I ordered several more to use as Christmas gifts for friends and family. I definitely recommend this item!.

So far, so good. I've been using this mat for a little more than a week, and I don't see any scratches or cut marks yet. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it isn't as flexible as I thought it would be. I've used thinner cutting mats in the past, and I like being able to bend it enough to aim the veggies or whatever I've chopped into a bowl or pan. This one is much thicker, which I expected, but it doesn't bend very much. I do think it will hold up really well though. I tend to wear holes in the thin ones.

I have been using this cutting board several times a day, every day for about 6 weeks or so. I use it to cut fruits and vegetables. To clean it, I have been hand washing it with a dish brush, method dish soap and warm water. I never use serrated knives on it, as per the instructions. It was great at first, but recently it has started to really show knife marks and the material is starting to fray wherever there are knife marks. I will have to buy a new cutting board soon. This one was good but it did not last very long at all. I also never even ended up bending it to pour cut up ingredients. I thought that was a nice feature and that was one of the reasons I bought it, but it turns out I didn't even use it that way. It's a bit too stiff for that.

I had such high hopes after using this cutting board and not seeing a single scratch on the surface! However, after one trip in the dishwasher, it's warped. The reasoning I bought this cutting board was for the fact it was dishwasher safe!

I bough this as a gift. Had to return the first one which arrived damaged. It works fine but the edges are incredibly sharp so be careful when handling and washing.

I had never heard of this type of board before, but my current plastic boards were scratched and needed to be replaced, so I took a chance and purchased the large green one. This is a very nice board. I have not found any scratches or pitting on the board after using my Shun knives on it. It also came out fine in the dishwasher. The groove on the board is not that great, but then again I haven't found a board where the groove was all that useful to begin with. I did not have issues with the board sliding while using. I did use it to transfer chopped food from the board to a pan, so the fact that it bends is very helpful. I would definitely buy another one of these boards. I wish this came in a larger size. The board comes with a warranty, which I have held onto in case I need it.

This is flexible but sturdy. I have had mine for about two weeks and love it! It does not absorb the smell or flavors of food and washes up nicely and easily. I love how easy it slides into the edge of my cupboard for storage. I bought the largest one and would like them to offer an even larger one to handle those huge watermelons in the summer. I highly recommend this cutting board. I choose the green and brown colors and they very nice colors, not dingy or dull.

I think it's a great product. My only complaint is some foods (mostly zucchini) leave residue on it that won't come off even with the boiling water. Even if I clean it immediately after using it. Other than that I think it's a wonderful product. I'm actually buying a second one I like it so much. But I would like it better if the residue would clean off. Thanks!
