Great for keeping out the rain and providing fresh air even on rainy days.
I've used these Maxxair vent covers on my other RVs, so I already knew about the quality and efficiently of these covers. These are a must to keep out the rain from soaking your RV if you keep the vent open. I installed them myself and the hardest part of the job is crawling up on top of the RV. Take your time, follow the instructions and they install easily and securely. two tips to make life easier for you, when you set the cover down the first time to measure (eyeball) prior to marking it, lift it up about 2 inches to check and make sure your brackets will contact the metal in the RV roof vent. Next, when you measure for the original fit, close the RV vent so the new Maxxair cover fits easily over the existing RV vent. Then, after you have your marks, then open the RV vent fully to access the metal rim of the RV vent to drill. (it's nice to have a helper in the RV to raise and lower the RV went or it's you, up and down the ladder.

high quality material, clear instructions, easy install
Amazing product! Doesn’t come with a mesh screen, but the rood vent does so I suppose there is no need. Clear instruction for mounting, takes about 10 minutes. The material is high quality, will definitely withstand all road debris. The size covers the entire vent, my vent since it was second hand didn’t even have a vent cover to open and close it so having this product was essential for me to even use the vent. My vent was sealed off since it was missing the cover so don’t mind how ugly the roof is, I assure you the vent is actually working now. All the mounting hardware is included, I lost 1 of the washers and lock washers in a crack while fiddling with it but you can use whatever washer and lock washers you find that fits the bolt.

Not all vents are the same.
I bought two of these for a vent and a fan. The vent went on without a hitch. it had a nice high metal cowling to attach to. marked it out, drilled, everything was great. Just following directions. Then came to put the hood on the fan vent. It had a plastic cowling. Because of the electronics in the fan it really limited where I could drill. with some careful planning, swapping out a few washers to fit on one side it seemed to come out ok. It certainly wasn't as easy as the simple vent I covered, but all in all it worked out and both seem secure and let in air and no rain as desired.

Easy fix to allow exhaust fan to stay open
This is a good cover. This is the third motorhome I’ve used them on. I’ve got a 14” x 14” bathroom fan housing on my new motorhome and didn’t want to remove existing fan frame. This mounts to it using the brackets provided. This fan cover is a little wide but the provided brackets allow it to mount properly. Not a hard installation. If you have someone inside to open and close the vent as you make measurements, drilling and bolting, it saves time going up and down the roof.

Real easy to Install These covers provide I’ve protection to the original vent covers. I got two, to cover the bathroom vent as well as the vent between the couch and stove

Great and sensible economical replacement for OEM vent covers.
This lets us raise the vent lid far higher than the OEM covers. ("Ramble") Also, I was able to install it without drilling holes into the side of the vent, too. I don't see why this wouldn't work with "superfan" vents, either. Less opaque than OEM and some other brands. Bug screen works--"Ramble" lacks that--wasp nests, twigs, etc. prove inevitable. Thick, high-quality plastic. I wish to replace the other two old vent covers with these. Will repurchase soon. Very satisfied, high quality. Very economical, too.I used Amazon Warehouse Deals--the product appears completely new--all fasteners are available and nomimal--instructions are a little torn up, but still readable. Shaved a few dollars. Cheers to Amazon Warehouse Deals! I've used them in the past, as well....Aside. A suggestion about fans and vents: Just purchase a quality, large 12V fan (so many here) and rig it in such a way (below the vent, perhaps) that you may turn it over and even unplug and remove it. You may need some sort of shrouding to better direct the air. People sometimes do have trouble with their big fan vents: They're stuck with a vent and a fixed fan which doesn't work. It's then in the way of free ventilation: So reminiscent it is then, unfortunately, to a newer Rolls Royce that's dead--in the middle of Sonora in August!I'm first going to try an old-school over-clocking Panasonic Vornado PC "horse fan," to replace or supplement the old, problematic and tiny OEM fan. Of course, my ladyfriend believes otherwise and reflexively touts such expensive fan vents! After all, *tube's RV people, with popular presences on the huge and unwieldy portal, always know better! (By the way, the huge numbers of anecdotes here are quite a bit of fine competition for that!--Touche'!)I just don't see it!: With such an animal as an older RV, (or a conversion cargo trailer or older van) alternatives generally do exist. Their users need value--and, utility. In a sense, you can "Create your own reality!" You save big-time $, here--the fan is smaller than the vent--so, you may still open and close the vent. Nonetheless, it's way bigger, more powerful, and way better than the afterthought-wannabe-big-boxbuilder-corporation's-cheapo-PC-fan-that-came-with-the-RV--also, that's still true for those fans incorporated into the newer cheapo fan vents, too. You're not in that same boat now, though! Fans can't last forever--yours is easily replaceable. Neither do you really need that problematic switching and wiring that came with the OEM or other fan vents, either. (That reminds me of the multiple-button switching assembly on the bases of cheapo blenders!--Inevitable, yet mysterious fail!: One that's due to unnecessary complexity, in tandem with far too economical fabrication.)The RV/RV accessory builders too have taken that to heart: They definitely consider that sort of thing an inconvenient afterthought, in any case. They definitely do have Ph. Ds, nonetheless--concerning the cheapening of their electrical fixtures, wiring, and fittings....
