if you look at those offering poor reviews the majority relate to uneven legs
Whilst there are many positive reviews for this product, if you look at those offering poor reviews the majority relate to uneven legs. I choose this product due to the number of positive reviews but received a defective ironing board, (the legs are a significant difference in length and completely unworkable). I have returned this product to the cost of £30.96 but will only receive a refund of £4.60 so this purchase has now cost me £26.36 and I still do not have an ironing board. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

CHILD & TRANSPORT LOCK FITTING, SAFETY!!!
Our board was delivered in under 24 hours thanks to Amazon Prime. It was very well wrapped and protected and arrived in seemingly perfect condition. My wife stood it up to check it out, when without warning the top tipped over towards her, IF there had been a hot iron in the rest, it would likely have fallen, and God forbid, burnt her!! Turning the board upside down, I could see that the end of the steel rod that secures the legs to the frame had completely come out of it's housing on one side. The reason for this, being that the black plastic Child & Transport Lock also serves to keep the "fixed legs" top in position, (Please see my photos of how it should look, one of Amazon's photos also shows the positioning of this fitting). There is a white painted metal rod that secures the leg top to the board, it is IMPORTANT that it protrudes through it's holding bars on BOTH SIDES ( it's because ours came out on one side that our board collapsed). The plastic Child & transport Lock simply clips onto the rod on/near each end and holds it firmly in place. NOTE. It barely took me a minute to position the fitting over the bar, you then need to give it a thump with the side of your fist to secure it at each end as it's purposely a tight fit, do NOT be tempted into using a hammer!! The ironing board is then 100% safe and I would expect it to last for many years. The only reason we had this problem is because the fitting had not been properly secured when assembled in their factory. (Whatever happened to Quality Control") I do wonder if this has been the cause of any of the "wobberly legs" that some reviewers have had? Having done this minor fixing job I would now consider this board to be a 5 star rating.

**AVOID** FAULTY LEGS
**Do not buy this ironing board** It looks great but the legs are wobbly. After reading other negative reviews, we all seem to be in the same boat. It’ll cost you around £25 of your own money to return it (even though you were sold a faulty product😡) Also there’s a lot of scuffs on the white enamel which makes me suspect it’s been returned in the past. I would give zero stars if possible. Do yourself a favour and if possible buy it from a shop so at least you can return if required.

Faulty construction, unsuitable for use.
Received the ironing board today through Amazon Prime. Before unwrapping it appeared to list to one side, but often these things can be adjusted when in use. Unfortunately one leg was shorter than the others and the ironing board is unstable when erected, which makes it unsuitable for use with a hot iron. I am including photographs to demonstrate the poor construction of this item. First one shows how it tips to one side even before opening, certainly different to the photograph shown to demonstrate the item on Amazon. Second one shows how legs are off centre at pointed end.It is rare I receive a faulty item through Amazon prime, so this was a great disappointment.

Legs different lengths - completely unusable.
I made my purchase on the basis of the reviews available at the time, most of which were positive. However, I also read reviews for other ironing boards which warned of uneven legs. I took the risk with this ironing board. It didn't pay off. One leg was around 2 inches shorter than the others. The board was completely unusable. I didn't bother trying to return the board. It went straight into the skip when I did a major household clean-up shortly afterwards.Later I discovered a local hardware store which not only sells ironing boards, but would also deliver them. (I had no car at the time and needed to have the board delivered.) Thus I was able to inspect my ironing board before purchase and this time bought one which is actually fit for purpose. So, I learned an important lesson: buying such items over the internet is very risky indeed. And, furthermore, since the effort (and cost) of returning defective items is so great, then I prefer to shop locally when I can (now that I have a car again).

Faulty product!
Not useable! One leg was clearly either longer than the other or not properly aligned, so did not sit flush against the floor. Have had to buy another one more expensive from a retailer and now have to pay postage to return the faulty one! Amazon only pay back £4.49 toward postage which is not enough to cover such a bulky item!! Not at all happy and has cost me losts of extra cash!

Ok. Works well.
I bought this to replace an older large board that had lasted very well. This feels a bit tinny (thin metals) but I think that is to keep it lightweight. When opening it (came just shrink-wrapped) I'm afraid I was not that impressed. For the price, I had expected it to feel better build quality (like my old board). As I say, maybe that compromise was to make it lighter - and this is surprisingly light. A plastic part had come off in transit. Clearly, it should not have been separated as there was no mention in any instructions. It took me a while to work out where it went (which was annoying). Fortunately, it was not broken - it had just come off in transit.Despite initial impressions, on using it I am quite happy. It comfortably supports a large Tefal steam iron (heavy when the tank is full). With the iron in place, the board feels reasonably sturdy. So having used it a few times, I'm liking it a bit more than I thought I would when it was first unpacked.

Stable ironing board but soiled cover and damaged iron plate
To replace a slightly wobbly ironing board and also house a new steam generating ironIt does the job, but unfortunately the ironing board cover arrived with marks on it that are not part of the design and also the metal plate to house the new iron rather scratched. It only had cellophane to protect it during transit and clearly needs more packing. Not what I would expect, given the price paid for it.
