Fox Run Apple Divider & Corer, 4.25 x 7 x 2 inches, White

My 11 year old son eats 3-5 apples a day and he is able to core his own apples with this corer. The other ones have sharp points and require you to twist them. We've had one for over a year and love it so much we bought another so we can always have one clean and even take it with us. We core apples, wrap in plastic wrap and throw it in cooler for soccer or other sports. A cored apple is so easy to take in the morning on the way to school as well. His friends think it is so cool when they see him eating an apple and there is no core. I highly recommend. We have tried 5 other styles and never use them. Plus it makes a healthy snack fun and easy.

It's a nice corer but the smooth cutting edge leaves something to be desired particularly for women who don't have too much strength in their hands. If you hit a tough core you need Schwarzenegger fingers to force it through. The clean-out plug works nice. The tubular design makes this unit a nice strong corer.We'll have to take it up into the shop and file some teeth into the cutting edge else we have to do the coring for mama. That edge would make an immense difference in the performance of this other-wise nicely designed corer.

It's not convenient to use having to put the plunger back in each time to extract the apple core. Maybe I'm using it wrong

Maybe it's the one I got; bit, the corer came apart on the first apple I used it on. The tube handle pulled free leaving me with a sharp metal cylinder stuck through the apple. I was finally able to work it free. The only reason I won't give it a single star is that a little glue and it should be OK.

Used it to core 50 lbs of apple that we then sliced and dried. Excellent, ordered one for my son.

I used this to take out cores in a ham I was smoking on the grill and also a block of cheese to put back in its place, worked really well and easy to use.

Replacing an old wooden corer with this one. This one is so much better.
